The World Bank Group is a group of five international organizations providing leveraged loans to developing countries. The group founded on July 4, 1944 is based in Washington. It provided about $ 61 billion in loans to developing countries for the year 2014. This group is linked to the United Nations (UN).

The five organizations united in this group are the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency. (MIGA) and the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).

The World Bank is a subset of this group.
