Naji Boustani


Naji Boustani (born in Shouf in 1941) is a Lebanese politician.

A law graduate from Saint Joseph University in Beirut in 1962, he was called to the bar in 1966.

Opposing Walid Jumblatt, against whom he led - unsuccessfully - electoral lists in 1996 and 2000, he is close to the President of the Republic Emile Lahoud. He held the position of Minister of Culture between 2004 and 2005 in the government of Omar Karamé. It was during his tenure that he represented Lahoud at the 2004 Francophonie Summit in Bamako.

He plays a leading role in the international investigation into the assassination of Rafiq Hariri as a lawyer for two of the intelligence chiefs accused of involvement in the killing. Notes and edit the code
