Apollo (P2P client)

Apollon is a peer-to-peer file distribution (P2P) client for the KDE project, distributed under the terms of the GNU license.

Apollon uses the giFT daemon to communicate with the different network protocols, which must have been previously installed. Apollon (or more precisely, giFT) supports the FastTrack (used by Kazaa), OpenFT (Open FastTrack), Gnutella and Ares protocols at the moment.

Apollon has an interface similar to that of other modern file network clients, divided into five sections: information, search, transfers, shared directories and media player.

The name Apollon was chosen by the Greek god of the arts, Apollo (also known as Apollon). characteristics
