Skeletons dancers of Simbu

Simbu's skeleton dancers are considered one of the ten strangest tribes in the world. Geographically they are in the province of Simbu, in Papua New Guinea. They live in a temperate climate in the valleys of the rough mountains, at a height of approximately 1600 and 2400 meters. Aesthetically they present a terrifying appearance based on skeletons, as historically the tribe arises with the need to defend itself against other enemy tribes in a disputed and territorial country. Despite being a community tribe, where each person plays an important role for the survival of the group, many research confirms that this tribe lives in separate houses according to gender (men and women). As a method of survival they are based on agriculture and the hunting of wild animals.

Their dances are a custom they have in their tradition. They may have a religious symbology, but it is difficult to prove, as we hardly have anthropological information of this spectacular tribe, however we know that much of their dances are usually attracted by tourism hence the name that society has coined the tribe.
