the Zeta
The Zeta is a river in Montenegro. The Zeta belongs to the Basin river basin. The river starts near Nikšić and flows beyond 86 km to the east where it flows into Morača, north of the capital Podgorica.
The river played a role in the history of the country. In the Middle Ages there was the Principality of Zeta named after the river and when Montenegro was part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, there was a province called Zeta Banovina.
