Honmei choco

Honmei choco (本命 チ ョ コ) is a chocolate gift in Japanese culture that women usually give to men. Honmei means "favorite chocolate" and is derived from a courtship ritual, which is currently offered on Valentine's Day, and can be said to be a prosecutive gift of love. Honmei chocolate is made with a higher quality standard (and is more expensive) than giri choco ("chocolate of obligation").

The hand-made honmei choco is very popular. This offer of chocolate has a counterpart in the White day, celebrated every year on March 14 in which each man gives a candy to women or just who likes.
