Assyrian religion

The Assyrian religion was configured as follows. The supreme god of the Assyrians was Ashur, who was not raised by temples. From him the other gods emanated:

The Moon and the five planets, all of which were temples, real observatories from whose roof the priests could follow all their movements. The priests thought that these stars, therefore, were powerful gods who worked intensely on the life of men. Every mortal comes to the world under the influence of a planet and this moment decides his destiny. You can therefore predict the fate that awaits you by knowing the planet under which you were born and hence the horoscope and what happens in the sky is the announcement of what will happen on earth, so, for example, a comet announces a revolution. The priests could predict the events. They are responsible for astrology.
