Gruž (Italian: Gravosa or Santa Croce) is a neighborhood in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The bay of Gruž lies the main port of Dubrovnik, its largest market and the central bus station "Libertas" [1]. The estimated population of the neighborhood is 15,000 inhabitants. After the great earthquake of 1667, the Republic moved and operated in that port, the noble families built and settled with summer resorts, since the old city in summer, due to its construction and stone architecture, radiates heats of more of 40 °.

It is located in a well protected natural bay, the port is able to accommodate large passenger ships, such as cruises.
