Silver Calcium Battery

Calcium-Silver alloy batteries are water-acid electrolyte batteries, but with grates made of Calcium-Silver alloy, instead of the traditional lead-antimony gratings. They stand out for their greater resistance to corrosion and the destructive effects of high temperatures. The result of these improvements is manifested in longer battery life and maintenance of boot power over time.

The technological improvements of this new alloy are: Disadvantages

Generally they need more charge voltage (14.4-14.8V) so they are not recommended in older vehicles, as their power generation systems (alternators) give lower voltages than modern vehicles. It also happens with static chargers, since some do not even charge these batteries.
