The Chapel of Santa Clara de Asís (or Los Sarmientos), is a Historic Monument of Argentina that is located in the town of Los Sarmientos, in the province of La Rioja. It is the most characteristic building of that town and was built in 1764 in honor of Santa Clara de Asís. History and description Interior.

In this place was the house that in 1684 Leonor Ibarra de Sarmiento bequeathed to his son José. In 1764 it was replaced by the current Chapel of Santa Clara of Assisi. In its interior is a small image of the patron saint. Its algarrobo portal, still preserved, was carved by the craftsman José Flores. It has lintels engraved with texts in Castilian and Latin.
