Guðmundar saga dýra is one of the books of the Sturlunga saga, one of the Icelandic sagas that tells the story of Guðmundur dýri Þorvaldsson and the conflicts over land and political power in the Eyjafjarðarsýsla region at the end of the 12th century. the conflict between Guðmundur and his rival Önundur Þorkelsson who sought to control the territory with alliances agreed with Bondis.The saga was probably written between 1200 and 1225, implying that it was contemporary of Morkinskinna.
