Jakob Jacobaeus (-1738) was a religious and writer from Denmark. Biography
Jakob was born in Copenhagen and was the son of justice counselor Oliger Jacobaeus and brother of Johan Jacobaeus (1698-1772), curate of the parish of Lidoe in Selande and writer who left the following works: Jakob studied at Borch College, and as his brother entered the ecclesiastical career and in 1710 was appointed curate of Faxoe and left several written works, and another Jacobaeus, Matias Jacobaeus the Younger (1637-1688), professor of history and geography at the University of Copenhagen, and later professor of the Greek language and of medicine leaving the written work Fonts Supplementary bibliography
