Myriad

For the article with a homophone title, see Myriad.

A myriad (word of Greek origin) means in the decimal system ten to the power of four, or ten thousand (10,000).

Modern Greek commonly uses this numeral. One million in the Greek language is even εκατομμύριο (ekatommyrio), a hundred myriads.

Many Asian cultures are traditionally myriad. For example, Chinese people use the 萬 (or 万 simplified Chinese) character to mean "ten thousand" for millennia. Koreans and Japanese have also borrowed this character in their languages. code
