The Schmirwurscht, also known as Colmett d'Alsace, is an Alsatian charcuterie, a kind of spreadable sausage (Alsatian schmiren, "spread" and Wurcht, "sausage").
There is also the same type of charcuterie in German-speaking Moselle, called Schmierworscht / Schméérwùrscht and in Germany Schmierwurst, German schmieren and Wurst (same meaning as in Alsatian). Notes and edit the code
