He signed a five-year contract with the GMA network, including a recording contract with the record label of "GMA Records" and debuted as an actor in television series, under the rules of SOP TV. He worked on a television series entitled "I Luv New York" and was co-host of a television program called "Popstar Kids" broadcast by the QTV network in 2006. His first single titled, "A Day on the Rainbow", was released in November of 2006. In 2008 he released his second studio album entitled, "Gerald Santos: Pinakahihintay".
