Kee and Janus are residents of the Amsterdam district of De Jordaan. When Janus arrives home one day he appears to have won a sum of money in the lottery Altijd Noppes. The price is 668 guilders and the two can not beat their luck. They decide to go to Berlin for a holiday because Janus's life seems to be much cheaper than in the Netherlands. After years of poverty, they take a lot of it, but it seems to be more expensive than imagined.
In the hotel where the two stays, the staff would rather leave, because of the inconvenience and their turbulent behavior.
