Lucio Cornelio Léntulo Caudino

Lucio Cornelius Lentulus Caudinus was the son of the consular Lucio Cornelio Léntulo and brother of Publio Cornelio Léntulo

It is the first of the family that is expressly recorded with the agnomen Caudinus; but as the Phastos are mutilated, this nickname may have been assumed by his father.

He was a councilman in the year 237 a. C., where he obtained a triumph over the ligures. Censor in 236 a. C. next to Quinto Lutacio Cercón. Pontifex Maximus since 221 a. C. and Princeps Senatus from 220 a. C.

He died in 213 BC. C., being succeeded in the pontificado by Publio Licinio Crass Dives
