Marko Asmer

Marko Asmer (Tallinn, July 30, 1984) is a Estonian / British car driver. Asmer is the first Est to test in a Formula 1 car. He has tested for the BMW Williams team in 2003 after a half-season of racing in the British Formula Ford. In 2007 he went to HiTech Racing for the British Formula 3 championship, winning the championship with force majeure by winning 11 of the 22 races and driving 13 pole positions.

In 2008 he is a regular rider in the Formula 1 team of BMW Sauber.

Asmer's father is Toivo Asmer, who was a minister in Estonia between 1999 and 2003. GP2 results
