Mexican navy

The Mexican navy is the branch of the Mexican warlord responsible for operations by sea.

The navy consists of 55,500 soldiers and has 300 ships and 70 aircraft. Since Mexico has a long coastline, and much of its revenues come from oil extraction in the Gulf of Mexico, the Navy plays an important role in Mexican country defense. In addition to the defense of the country, aid for hurricanes is an important task of the navy.

The Mexican Navy has been run by the Ministry of Navy since 1941; formerly it fell under the ministry of war. Current Minister of Navy is Mariano Francisco Saynez Mendoza. The Navy is divided into two fleets; one for the ocean and one for the atlantic ocean.
