Reinhard von Nagel is a harpsichord maker established in Paris. His studio was founded in 1963.

Since 1970, under the leadership of Hubert Bédard, Reinhard von Nagel has devoted himself to building historical harpsichords.

In 1971, William Dowd and Reinhard von Nagel decided to join forces for the construction by von Nagel of harpsichords bearing the mark "William Dowd - Paris". In 1985 William Dowd retired. At his request the brand "William Dowd - Paris" was abandoned for the benefit of "Von Nagel - Paris" and "Reinhard von Nagel". In 1997, the von Nagel workshop moved to the Faubourg Saint-Antoine, a traditional woodworking district in Paris, where concerts are organized under the auspices of the "Les Bois qui chantent" association. edit code
