Horacio Ferreyra

Horacio J. Ferreyra was an Argentine politician. Municipal Commissioner

Ferreyra belonged to the Democratic Party of Córdoba, being a candidate for the intendancy of the capital of that province in the elections of March 10, 1940, in which he was defeated by Donato Latella Frias who exceeded it by more than three thousand votes .

At the end of October 1957, the Federal Comptroller Medardo Gallardo Valdéz separated Emilio Olmos from the position of commissioner of the city of Córdoba, within a framework of conflicts between the leaders of the Liberating Revolution and the Democratic leaders, among whom Olmos was there. Despite the differences, Gallardo Valdéz decided to replace him with Dr. Ferreyra, who was a member of that party.

In his brief passage through the municipality that lasted for little more than five months, Ferreyra had to overcome the growing disagreements between his party and the de facto government. On April 30, 1958, he left office, giving way to the new mayor, Gilberto Molina.
