Rico Gómez became a member of the Banda Municipal de Música de Jaén at the age of 10. He studied military music and became a member of the Banda de Música del Ministerio del Ejército. He studied, among other things, composition, trombone and tuba at the Real Conservatorio Superior, the Música de Madrid in Madrid. From 1964 he is a trombonist and tuba member of the Banda Municipal de Música de Salamanca. Rico Gómez is also deputy director of this orchestra.
