The Wise Little Hen is a short Disneyfilm, in which the famous Disneyfiguur Donald Duck made his debut. The seven-minute and 25-second animation film appeared on June 9, 1934, and is based on an older fairy tale, The Little Red Hen. The Wise Little Hen was one of the Silly Symphonies, 75 short Disney movies produced by The Walt Disney Company between 1929 and 1939. In the movie, a hen with her chicks visits Donald Duck and Peter Pig to ask for help with the maize and sowing of the corn. The two veins, however, are stomach ache, to get out of work. Therefore, they decide to sow and harvest the maize with the help of her chicks.
