Edgiva de Kent (905-968), was born in 905, being the daughter of Sigelhelm, knight of Kent.
He married in the year 920 with Edward the Elder, King of Wessex-51 years old, born of this marriage 4 sons, the future kings of Wessex Edmund I the Magnificent and Edred and the daughters Edburh and Edgiva. King Eduardo dies on July 17 of the year 924, leaving her a widow with only 19 years old.
Edgiva survived her husband for several years, dying on August 25 of the year 968 -during the reign of her grandson, Edgar-, at 63 years of age, being buried in the cathedral of Canterbury.
