The Ten Picturesque Pieces is a collection of keyboard pieces by Emmanuel Chabrier. Composed in 1881. They were created on April 9, 1881 by Marie Poitevin at the National Society of Music in Paris. They had the admiration of Claude Debussy and César Franck who said: "we have just heard something extraordinary that links our time to that of François Couperin and Jean-Philippe Rameau".
