1992 constitutional referendum of Djibouti


A constitutional referendum was held in Djibouti on September 4, 1992. The new constitution would restore multi-party democracy for the first time since independence, and a second question asked voters if the number of political parties should be limited to four. . Both consultations were approved with more than 97.9% of the votes, with an electoral participation of 75.2% The first multi-party elections were held in December of that same year.
