Beca Lecaros


The Lecaros Fellowship was a scholarship or help for studies in the Convictory of San Francisco Javier, Chile, founded by Pedro de Lecaros Berroeta, Mayor of Santiago in 1736, among other positions. by the Jesuits, so after the expulsion of the order from Chile, the scholarship is transferred to the Royal Convictory Carolino de Nobles of Santiago de Chile and later to the National Institute. The patrons of the scholarship were descendants of the founder, among them the I marqués de Larraín, José Toribio de Larraín and Guzmán.
