The Sim Copans Festival is a jazz festival created in Souillac in the Lot in 1976 by a group of enthusiasts. It owes its name to the one who was "the ambassador of American music in France". It is mentioned in 190 of the 480 memories cited by Georges Perec, in his text Je me souviens.
