The Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal (Conservatoire de musique de Montréal) is a music conservatory based in Montreal, in the province of Quebec, in eastern Canada. In addition to the Montreal region, the school serves all regions of Quebec, and attracts many students from cities such as Granby, Joliette, St-Jean, St-Jerome, Sherbrooke, and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield among others. Founded by the Quebec government in 1943, it became the first institution of American music in higher education fully subsidized by the state.
