Royal Talens is a company in Apeldoorn that specializes in the needs of art painters and hobby paint. In the past, fountain pen, writing machines, carbon paper and other office supplies were also manufactured.

The company was founded in 1899 by former banker Marten Talens, as Talens & amp; Co., a Dutch paint, paint and ink factory. Although initially, only office supplies were made, the manufacturing of Rembrandt oil paint began in the early 20th century. A sales office was established in the United States in 1912. The factory also expanded and in 1920 it went on steam power. A local ink factory was also taken over and a custom canned factory was used. A new headquarters was built in 1927, of which P.W. van den Belt was the architect. It is now an industrial monument.

Starting in 1932, the typewriter began to conquer the office, and the stencil machine also came in swang. Talens went to supply carbon paper, writing machines, stencils and stencil ink.
