Aleksándr Serguéievich Bogdanóvski (1952) is a well-known Russian translator of Portuguese, Spanish and English. He translated Conversation in The Cathedral and The War of the End of the World, by Mario Vargas Llosa, and The Adventures of Captain Alatriste, by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, the latter being one of the most precise.
It also translates works by Jorge Amado, Paulo Coelho, and José Saramago from Portuguese.
For his translations of Saramago he was awarded the "Inolit" prize (1998).
