Film4 is a digital television channel in the United Kingdom. The channel is owned by Channel 4. The first broadcast of Film4 was on November 1, 1998. The channel was first called FilmFour and was a payer. Since 19 June 2006, the channel has been renamed Film4 and is free of charge for the channel.
FilmFour also had sister channels for a while: FilmFour World and FilmFour Extreme. These channels were transformed into FilmFour Weekly in 2003. This channel stopped her broadcasting in 2006, after FilmFour stopped its subscriber service.
