Right subphrenic compartment

The right subphrenic compartment also called the hepatic compartment, is a space within or corresponding to the right hypochondrium; has as its limits: the diaphragmatic dome (superiorly), the transverse colon and mesocolon (inferiorly), the costal insertions of the diaphragm that separate it from the last 4 intercostal spaces and the costodiaphragmatic recess of the pleura. In this compartment can be found, in addition to the liver, the venous, arterial and bile vessels that reach or leave it.
