Águas de Chapecó is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Santa Catarina, located at a latitude of 27º04'13 "South and a longitude of 52º59'12" West, being at an altitude of 291 meters above sea level. In 2006 it had an estimated population of 5,293 inhabitants (according to data provided by the IBGE), covering an area of 139 km², which gives a population density of 38.0 inhabitants / km². It was founded on December 14, 1962.
