Jaume Ferrer de Blanes (Vidreres (Gerona), 1445 - Blanes (Gerona), 1523) was a politician and cosmographer of the Crown of Aragon. He worked in the service of the king of Naples Fernando I - in the royal treasury and in maritime trade, navigation and cartography - until 1480, when he returned to Catalonia and settled in Blanes, where he remained connected to the Crown. He intervened in the elaboration of a new map of the lands and the oceans after the discovery of America, as well as in the drawing of the delimitations established in the Treaty of Tordesillas.
