The Chamamé Festival is celebrated in the city of Corrientes, Argentina, specifically in the Cocomarola Amphitheater and the Pexoa Bridge, where every year for several days in January, chamamé sounds and dances, a musical genre of origin folkloric characteristic of the Eastern region of Argentina, Paraguay, Rio Grande of the South and some towns of South of Brazil, and Uruguay.
