The novel tells the story of Sofia Montalvo and Mariana León, friends during childhood and adolescence and whose friendship breaks when they both fall in love with the same young man. Years later they return to find themselves in an exhibition of painting and, after that, because Mariana must undertake a trip, they decide to catch up on what has been their life writing letters.
