Ostap Gogol, born at the beginning of the XVII century, probably in Gogol, Ukraine, and died in Dymer in 1679, is a Ukrainian colonel of Bohdan Khmelnytsky. During the Ruin period, he participated in the Ukrainian Cossack Revolt, known as the Khmelnytsky Uprising. He was hetman from 1675 to 1679 of Ukraine from the right bank in the name of King John III Sobieski after the abdication of Mikhailo Khanenko (in).
