Post Basque

One of the Clandestine Detention Centers used by the Military Civic Dictatorship between 1976 and 1983 is called, and is located in the Party of Quilmes, in the town of Don Bosco, Pilcomayo 59, near the station of the same name .

"Puesto Vasco" was part of the system of concentration camps dependent on the Police Headquarters of the province of Buenos Aires, centers that operated in some cases, under the General Directorate of Investigations, and in other cases, under the General Directorate of Security.

The nucleated bodies in "Justice Already in La Plata" had to rebuild, based on the crossing of dozens of testimonies, the passage of more than 60 people who suffered their captivity in this police unit. Among them were journalist Jacobo Timerman, entrepreneurs Juan and Isidoro Graiver, former judge Ramon Miralles and his son Julio Miralles, and journalist Osvaldo Papaleo.

Although the Basque Post was a center of limited capacity in terms of the number of detainees, it received frequent visits from senior military and police chiefs, indicating that the intelligence tasks carried out there were of particular importance. / p>
