Le Dauphiné Libéré (light: "The Liberated Dauphiné") is a Southern French regional newspaper. The newspaper was founded in 1945 and appears in various local editions in the French departments Ain, Hautes-Alpes, Ardèche, Drôme, Isère, Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Vaucluse. Outside France, the Dauphiné Libéré is famous for the same cycling race.

The newspaper has an issue of approximately 303,500 copies. The headquarters is located in the Grenoble agglomeration.

The Dauphiné Libéré was founded shortly after the Second World War by seven members of the Resistance: Louis Richerot, Fernand Policand, Elie Vernet, Alix Berthet, Roger Guerre, André Philippe and Georges Cazeneuve. The first issue appeared on September 7, 1945. Externe link
