Liberiictis kuhni is a predator of the family of mango stones (Herpestidae), it is the only species of the genus Liberiictis. They live in Liberia, Côte d'Ivoire and possibly Guinea. The males have an average length of 42.3 cm, with a tail of 19.7 cm and the females a length of 47.8 cm, with a tail of 20.5 cm. They weigh about 2.3 kg. They have a dark brown color coat. Reproduction is little known. The life span is also unknown. They mainly eat insects, but also worms, eggs and small invertebrates.
