The National Olympic Committee of the Federal Republic of Germany (in German, National Olympic Games Komitee für Deutschland (NOK)) was the National Olympic Committee of West Germany from 1949 to 2006. From 1979 to 1990, It was officially recognized by the IOC as the National Olympic Committee of the Bundesrepublik Deutschland, and in 1957 it was absorbed by the National Olympic Committee of Saarland and in 1990 by the National Olympic Committee of the German Democratic Republic. NOK merges with the Sports Federation to form the Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund.
