The Atreides House, in the saga of science fiction novels Dune - written by Frank Herbert -, is the noble family of which descends Paul Atreides.
The members of the house Atreides descend from the Greek hero Agamemnon (Trojan War), an Atrida. This Great House was part, along with many others, of the Landsraad. Apparently she was originally from the planet Caladan; were based in Castel Caladan.
There is a book with that title by Kevin J. Anderson and Frank Herbert's son, Brian Herbert, published in 1999 (in Spanish in 2000), which recreates the early years of Paul's father, Duke Leto I Leto Atreides). This book is the first of a trilogy continued in Casa Harkonnen and finished with Casa Corrino.
