KParts

In programming, KParts is the name of the framework component for the KDE desktop environment. An individual component is called a KPart. The KPart are analogous to the Bonobo components in GNOME. Konsole is available as a KPart and is used in applications such as Konqueror and Kate. A good example of how KPart can be used is Konqueror, which uses, for example the KWord part to display documents and Kontact, which embeds KDE PIM applications under one roof.
