Pauline of Trier

Saint Paulino (Poitiers - Frigia, 359) was bishop of Trier in the 4th century.

Attended in 353 the council of Arles where Emperor Constantius tried in vain to intimidate him to endorse the condemnation of St. Athanasius.

Thrown out of his chair by the Arians, he was banished to Phrygia, where he died.
