Glass brick

Glass brick wall.

A glass brick, also known as a block of glass or pavés, is a piece of molded glass, usually shaped like a rectangular prism, which is used to build translucent ceilings, walls or floors.

It is a construction material made of glass, used in areas where some visual privacy is desired and at the same time allowing the entry of light; as for example in bathrooms, municipal swimming pools, underground parking lots, etc. The glass blocks were originally manufactured in the early 1890s to allow natural light to enter industrial factories.
