Order of the King's Crown

The Order of the King's Crown is a legendary order. The order would be set by Charlemagne in 802 to foster the Frisians fighting on his side against the Saxons. Just as the legend of the Frisian freedom that the same Charles had given the Frisians, there was no confirmation for existence. The first knight orders arose during the crusades, 300 years after the death of the great emperor.

Palliot described the order in the 17th century and noted that the knights wore an embroidered golden crown on their stomach region ("l'estomac"). The Latin devil would have been "Coronabitur legitime certans" or "He is wearing the crown because he can fight well." Literature
