Penny Tai (Chinese: 戴佩妮, pinyin: De Pein, Johor, April 22, 1978) is a Malayan singer-songwriter naturalized as a Taiwanese. Since its debut in 2000, it has released seven albums.
BiographyPenny Tai was born into a family in hakka. She began writing songs at the age of 17, in which she participated in a contest in Kuala Lumpur, which helped her to start her singing career with fellow Malaysians like Fish Leong. In 1999, he was offered a contract by EMI Music (Taiwan) and moved from Taiwan to pursue his singing and composition career. She released her self-titled album Penny, in January 2000.
