Sieve


The Sieve is a river in the Italian region of Tuscany.

The 62 kilometer long tributary of the Arno originates in the Apennines at the Futapas (Passo della Futa), then flows eastward through the Mugello before turning south towards Dicomano. The Sieve flows from Dicomano through the Valdisieve to the south to express at Pontassieve in the Arno.

The towns through which the river flows are Barberino di Mugello, San Piero a Sieve, Borgo San Lorenzo, Vicchio, Dicomano, Rufina and Pontassieve. 43° 46′ NB, 11° 26′ OL
