The first Social Democratic Party (PSD) was an old political party in Mexico, with a moderate left.
Fostering a revolutionary nationalism, was formed around the politician Manuel Moreno Sánchez, former member of the PRI. It obtained its register in 1981 and only participated in the elections of 1982, in which it did not obtain the legal minimum of votes required to preserve it, reason why it lost its register and it disappeared.
